My girlfriends scalp can burn through her parton on holidays so she had been applying a thin layer of lotion to prevent this. How can I keep my hair from getting frizzy?
It just gets frizzy when I straighten it. It also gets frizzy in a pony tail. I hate hairspray, cause I don't like hard hair! What can I do? I wanna stay away from hair cremes, sprays, etc. Also when I put my hair in a ponytail I get whispies and hairs that just stick out to the side. How can I make it so that the "side hairs" go down? The straightener is also the cause.
i used to have this problem when i went to school sometimes cause i would straighten my hair before class at like 6am. but the night before i would take showers at like 11 and i slept with my hair in a pony tail. so it took me some time to realize that the reason my hair was frizzing was cause it was wet. make sure your hair is completely dry before you straighten it! another problem was too much hair conditioner in the shower. put it on your ends first and work your way up dont let it sit though. your hair shouldnt feel really greasy or something.
Use a heat protection spray or serum. i like pantene damage protection . i spray it in my hands first. make sure it doesnt soak your hair.
you could also use a shine serum. i like john freida. i like this shine spray by Garnier. i spray it in my hands so my hair doesnt look greasy. and then run it through my hair. it only takes like one spray or two and i had pretty thick hair, medium length
i know you said you didnt want sprays or products but they do work. i dont use hairspray (except if im like using a curling iron or something, which is rarely. i straighten my hair like everyday pretty much) it doesnt really help for frizz.
also when my hair is wet, i put either a shine serum(mentioned above) or a creme in. my favorite so far is Sunsilks straighten up creme. its in a purple container. it totally helps with frizz, i even use it when im wearing my hair natural -- which is like soft waves - that without product are so frizzy. but with the sunsilk stuff they are really nice and i get a lot of complements on them.
all of the products mentioned are under 10 dollars and can be found at any drugstore or major supermarket
