Audio Mixers: Wolf Bros.; Eli Crews.Recording information: MegaSonic, Oakland (02/2007-07/2007); Third Ear, Minneapolis, MN (02/2007-07/2007).Author: Marilyn Hacker. The difficult-to-categorize outfit Why? put out one of its most cohesive, consistent, and engaging efforts with 2008`s ALOPECIA. A staple for the ever-adventurous Anticon label, Why? offers up their usual blend of hip-hop, indie rock, and experimental elements, but also opt for a more organic approach, sacrificing their usual samplers for a live, full-band sound. Yet Why?`s eclectic musical approach keeps things from ever sounding conventional, as does Doseone`s inventive, half-sung, half-rapped vocals. Best of all, ALOPECIA has strong tunes, so the band`s experimentalism is balanced by accessibility. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.

Rated: NRSynopsis: On June 22, 1938, 70,000 fans crammed into Yankee stadium to watch what some observers have since called "the most important sporting event in history." Millions more tuned in to hear a blow-by-blow description on the radio. The rematch between the African American heavyweight Joe Louis and his German opponent Max Schmeling was riveting - "one hundred and twenty-four seconds of murder," as one newspaper put it. But for most spectators the fight was much more than a boxing match; it was an historic event freighted with symbolic significance, both a harbinger of the civil rights movement and a prelude to World War II. In this first feature-length documentary about the momentous encounter, AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, will capture the anticipation the bout generated, the swirl of events leading up to it, the impact Louis's victory had on black America and its significance for Jews on both sides of the Atlantic. Battle Against Bald - Consultation Ep. 2 - Family History

Hair Loss - the Fight Continues

Last summer, when I was losing hair as quick as my mother’s favorite Pomeranian my

ex-boyfriend consoled me saying, ‘Women don’t turn bald!’ Knowing men I should have guessed where that fact was coming from --- right out of the trashcan. Sorry gals, I know many of you have been banking on it, but let’s face it, women get bald too! So if you have been calmly pulling off strands of hair from your comb for… God alone knows how long, its time you sat up and took notice. Women need hair. And there is no overstressing that fact. Imagine Elizabeth Taylor without her long flowing mane in ‘Cleopatra’ or Jennifer Aniston without her glossy locks. If being bald was cool half the celebrities would be walking around with the moonlight bouncing of their hairless heads. So sorry Britney, we are not quite with you on this. We love our hair and we will fight till our last drop of blood to save it. So here is what we shall do, we shall duly invest in a few effective cures for hair loss ASAP to prevent further damage. In the following section we take a close look at some of our options,

Hair Transplant – If you have oodles of money and are dying to make that bald patch grow out in a bunch of hair again here is what you need. Hair transplanting is a really simple, but complex sounding, process. In this procedure tiny groups of hair will be removed from an area where your hair is still quite lustrous. Quickly the hair plugs removed will then be placed on your bald patch. Within a stipulated period of time then your bald patch will begin growing hair again.

Fenestrate – If hair loss treatment number one doesn’t do for you try this one out. Fenestrate works best for men but has also been shown to be potentially effective for women as well. However, please do consult a doctor before taking these since they have been known to cause hormonal imbalance in some people

Provillus – An A+ cure for baldness, Provillus is available for both men and women. In women it works simply enough, by transmitting the right amount of nutrition to dead hair follicles and bringing them back to life. Once the dead hair follicles resurrect everyday is again a good hair day!

Minoxidil – Minoxidil is yet another popular cure for hair loss. The only problem with it is the long wait you have to put in between the application of the medicine and the emergence of the results. Only after six months (!) of its use will you finally begin to see the new strands of hair appearing.

These are only some of the many hair loss cure methods you can use. Scores of other remedies are easily available in the markets. If nothing quite suits your fancies turn to your Grandmother or aunt for those quick homemade cures. Who knows, they might do the trick for you. Before looking at any such cosmetic cure method, of course look into your lifestyle to see if there are any deficiencies in what you are offering to your body. Are you sleeping at the right hours? Are you eating the right food? Unless your internal system is working all right no medicine is going to be able to help you. So drink that glass of milk, eat that slice of fish and munch that slice of bread, only then will your hair grow out into that enviable, lustrous crown of glory.
