where to shower to reduce dry hair?
my hair is extremely dry and i've tried a lot steps to lessen the dryness but it hasn't but working extremely well. one thing i've noticed is that when i shower after practice in the school locker room my hair seems to end up less dry and gross than when i shower at home. the locker room is colder and i have to walk outside in the cold through the parking lot after i shower while my house is always nice and warm when i step out of the shower. could the different temperatures have something to do with why my hair seems to look less awful after showering at school than it does at home? or is there another reason?
Cold water makes the hair follicles lie flat, thereby smoothing the hair and making it less frizzy. I have very long hair which tends to get dry. Here's the tip I learned. Wash, rinse, and condition hair. After rinsing out conditioner, give hair one final rinse in cold water. (Lean back so the cold water won't get on you. Brrrr! LOL.) Another thing. Don't bend your head over to wash hair. Let the water run from scalp to end and stand up straight when you shampoo/condition. This keeps the hair from getting as tangled which means less split ends.
Definitely use a conditioner every time you wash.
Another old-fashioned trick is to use apple cider vinegar. Put a couple of tablespoons in a spray bottle. After shampooing/conditioning/rinsing, spray all over your hair, then rinse. It's a little stinky, so just do it at home. Once it's rinsed out, you can't smell it. The acid in the vinegar makes the follicles lie flat and makes your hair super shiny. This is what ladies did long before hair conditioner was invented. My mom did this to my hair when I was a little girl (and I was a child model!).

what hair products can i buy to prevent split ends?
i dont curl, straighten, or blow my dry hair ((i towel dry nd air dry it)) i mean i've reduced it because of the conditioner i'm using but i want to prevent it.
Umm... if you do straighen and curl it use Thermal Polishing spray [mines CHI]. Bed Head also has product called Split End Mender which might help. And be sure to get a healthy cut every 3 months [about 1inch off] even if you're trying to grow it out.
