Dog Hair Growth Rate
2 symmetric fast growing moles on our dog?
Our boxer has 2 hemispherical growths on her chest and jowl that have been growing at a rate of sometimes about 2 mm per week. The area is smooth, free of hair, symmetrical, and the same colour as the skin in each area. What could it be? Richt now they are about 5-10 mm in diameter. She also had one about 6 months ago that grew quickly then vanished; these other 2 are persistant.
you should take her to the vet immediately !!!! it really sounds like skin cancer ( melanoma ) to me. and yes, dogs can get skin cancer as well as humans

It depends on old the dog is. Dogs get age spots (moles) like humans do. My Shih Tzu has them from getting older (she's 9, and that's something like almost 60 in human years). Best advice is see a vet and be sure.
