Cubed Gray Building
my chinchilla will not sleep in the box that i put in her cage for her to sleep in?
I have one chinchilla....she is a gray female named chi-chi....my uncle and I buit her a cage made of wood it is about 5 ft tall and 6ft wide when looking at the front and 2 feet wide when looking at the side....it has 3 stories.....we recently built a cube of wood with a hole in the front for hr to sleep in...she does not sleep in it she sleeps on it....i built this cube so that she could feel safe....because i read that they feel safe when they think they cant be seen...so how can i get it to sleep in the cube??
Your idea of safe and hers may be different. She may have no need to hide in a dark place because she feels perfectly safe and happy in your home as it is. Because of that, she sleeps on the house instead of in it. If that's the case - good for you guys! 
I do think you'll find that given time you'll find her in it as well as on it. Every time I put new houses in my cages, the first thing they do is climb on top and try and hog it all to themselves, pushing their cagemates off with their butts to get claim it as their own. After a while, they get curious and go in to explore the underside. She may even go in it when you don't see her, maybe at night while you're asleep. A quick question - is the opening to the hidey house adequate for her to fit through? Mine have openings on the front and the back so they can zoom through if they feel like it. Does it have a "back door?"
As mentioned above too - chins do feel happier when they are higher. It's a safety issue, although sitting on top of a house isn't really that much higher than just sitting on the shelf or bedding. Something to think about - is it possible to mount the house up higher in the cage, just in case that is the issue? Maybe bolt it through the side of the cage on the second or third level. You would definitely want to bolt it as you wouldn't want it to fall and land on top of her, but that might be something to consider.

i need to know what resembles a grey sugar cube?
i messed up on a project and couldn't use sugar cubes to build a castle but i did now i need to call the spray painted Gery sugar cube something else something authentic for a a castle. Please help
Call it "dressed grey sandstone"? That would be gritty like a sugar cube and was sometimes used as a façade for a rubble fill.
