what does a tune-up consist of for a 1995 chrystler town&country?
this van has 199,567,000 miles and in exellant cond.(3.8 liter V6) i got the van from IN-LAWS
Knowing the mileage doesn't help much as it really depends on well they cared for and maintained the vehicle. If you do not have service records or they cannot recall specific information (dates, mileage etc.) I would go all out on "tuning" it up, especially since a good handful of people start neglecting their maintenance schedules around 100k.
Your plugs and wires are pretty basic. Be aware that on some vans you need to rotate the motor to get to the back set of plugs, I do not know specifically on yours but it is something to check prior to tearing into anything.
Inspect and replace the air filter if necessary.
It probably would be a good idea to clean out your throttle body (residue normally builds up there and a lot of people tend to forget to clean in there.
A fuel system flush would be beneficial to clean out the deposits that have collected on the injectors and in the system.
Oil change and filter would be a good idea. Use a motor flush to get out the contaminants in the oil system and then replace with a good quality synthetic (I recommend Amsoil if you can find it).
A cooling system flush and replace of fluid would not be a bad preventative measure.
A transmission flush and fluid replace would also be a good idea as owners tend to neglect this as well.
From there you could start nit-picking about everything else. Inspect the ball joints, tie rods, cv joints, PCV, fuel filter, etc. Look for wearing or play. If there is accessible grease points, grease them.
Don't let the mileage fool you (especially if you got a good deal on it). It's almost never to late to protect your investment. I recommend running Amsoil just about everywhere that you can put it. I'm not a dealer or one of these die-hards, I have just used a lot of their products and have seen the results. I took a 96' Ford Explorer Sport that was on it's last leg (loss of power, lagging peformance, etc 186k miles) and Amsoil'ed it up and now it runs like new pushing 260k. It all really boils down to using quality parts and products that will determine the life of your car.
Anyways, how far you go is up to you. A basic oil change and plugs/wires is a good starting point but everything else will eventually have to be done, might as well knock it all out at once.

i have a 2000 (W Reg) citroen Saxo first 1.0 litre, 3 dr, 43,000 on the clock. excellent cond inside and out, only a few very minor hairline scratch's to the body work...
what would be a reasonable price to sell it for? only sensible anwsers please.
best bet is to get an auto trader. see what people will pay for the same car and go from there. good look
