Cold Formula Hair
Help! How to remove hair on my legs?
I have incredibly pale, incredibly sensitive skin. My hair is thick and dark. When I shave- with womens, mens, scented and unscented razors- my skin breaks out into serious razor burn and it itches more than the poison ivy I had when I was little. Putting lotion or baby oil on after doesnt help- it makes the itching worse. Not only that, but when I get cold from getting out of the shower I immediately have stubble. I tried getting my legs waxed & ended up bleeding from the majority of the hair follicles. I have tried Veet... it doesnt work. The amount of time is takes to dissolve my hair is too long for my skin, even with the sensitive skin formula- my skin turns are red and burns. PLEASE tell me what to do about this! It sucks.
There's a product out called SmoothAway, you might want to look into it. It has some kind of crystal on a pad, where apparently it just feels like sandpaper on your skin, but it removes hair without razors, chemicals, or wax.

is my baby's balding?
okay my baby boy is nearly 10 weeks old and i noticed that he kinda looks like he has an old man's hairdo. before he had a decent head of hair, i breast feed formula suppliment at night he's growing good 13+ pounds as of 3-11-10 and is 24 inches was born 8.13pounds and 20 1/2 inches. so he's grown alot, do any of you think he could be balding because he's getting a cold? he's been coughing on and off lately and that concerns me as well. he also as a bit of a runny nose, not much just a little but enough to notice.
also the balding is at the top of his head, not the back or side. ironically the back and side are the ones with most the hair! my husband says it might be from wearing his hats when we go out, but we don't go out that often for it to rub off like that and if it was because of the hat wouldn't it also be the whole head and not just the top?
This is totally normal and has nothing to do with your baby having a cold. Babies are born with very fine hair and this rubs off. You find it everywhere - inside their hats, on their crib sheet, it's so sad when they lose their hair but the good news is that it grows back in a few months. My baby boy was born with a full head of black hair but now all he has left at 14 weeks is a curly black mohican on the top of his head!!! My boy has a cold right now too. My health visitor says just to keep an eye on their temperatures (make sure it doesn't get too high) and if the cough gets bad then take your baby to the doctor. Most babies get the sniffles during their first winter, it's all part of building up their immune systems!
