Chemo Beach

My attempts at getting on Parade.com to ask this question have proven fruitless so I'll leave it to you.?
I have seen several actresses who have decided to have their lips done. I see some that are gorgeous and some not so much so. Which ones do you like and which ones don't you care for so much. I love the woman who was on Beaches with Bette Midler-awesome lips. Goldie's not so much. (my brain, after chemo, has stuck in 3rd gear so if you know who the woman is that I don't know the name to right now, feel free to inform me.)
would like to sample your lips ...

| | Chemo Cat $9.85 Author and Illustrator Cathy Nilon has created the book that she wished had been available to share with her young son when she was first diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in the fall of 2004. There were no programs available for his age group; the family had no mental health coverage to help deal with the trauma. Cathy decided to write one, and began sketching while still bald. Chemo Cat is the account of the pain-filled journey of her family, told in the voice of her son Luca who was four years old at the time. This book hopes to bridge the gap for families with children as to how to deal with the news of this awful illness. Luca and Mama cat, aka Cat-Cat, personified as a family of cats, take you through the emotions and realities of that most difficult time. It is meant to open a dialog with children without adding to their fears. It explains the changes they can expect when their mother loses her hair and is sick from chemotherapy and can`t be with them all the time. The story is real and all too common. It should prove also, to be emotionally helpful for the child and the whole family. The author`s net proceeds will be donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. |

| | Your Brain After Chemo (Hardcover) $16.98 Chemotherapy saves lives, but new studies—including research led by coauthor Dr. Dan Silverman—reveal that the agents used to kill cancer cells may also impair normal brain function. Even years after treatment, patients report problems with memory, concentrating, multitasking, and word retrieval. As one person put it, “I’ve lost my edge.”If you’ve undergone chemotherapy, perhaps you’re among those who’ve had trouble following the thread of a conversation or feel “less than” who you once were. Until recently, oncologists often discounted or trivialized “chemo brain.” Now, argue Silverman and Idelle Davidson, there is plenty of evidence to the contrary; thankfully, you can rest assured that you’re not alone in feeling this way—and that you can do something about it.Calling on cutting-edge scientific research and the inspiring stories of survivors (including Davidson’s own experiences with chemotherapy and its effects), this groundbreaking book will forever change how you think about your brain after chemo. Perhaps most important, it offers much-needed strategies to improve memory and focus, and an invaluable nine-step program to help keep your brain sharp. Your Brain after Chemo gives you the coping skills to move on with your life. |

Chemo Therapy today
After my Chemo 3 years ago, my hair grew back just frizz...I used to have pretty, wavy hair.?
I used to be able to just wash it, blow it dry and go... Now i have to use a straightening iron every day, which is just killing my hair! I am caucasion, is there any way to go to a salon and have a relaxer done? I want to go to the beach this summer, or swim and be able to get my hair wet without looking like a freak when it dries naturally...
sorry about the chemo that kinda bombs
but since its hasnt been very long
you are basically growing baby hair
hopefully after a little bit longer it will go back to normal
until then try getting smoothing serums
and leave in conditioners
also yeah if you want you can go get it relaxed
but its expensive
