What are the benefits of light lifting when it comes to lifting weights?
Do you develop more speed when you lift lighter? Example: You can squat or bench press a heavy amount, however, you don't you go lighter on purpose does this improve muscle speed and better contraction? Is it possible to develop fast twitch fibers by going with lighter weight? My body has been adapting to lighter weight as compared to strength training heavy for fast twitch muscles. For some reason, heavy even though I can lift heavy has a negative effect on explosiveness for me. I was always reading the books on strength training saying "Go heavy to build fast twitch fibers", and all this time it's been the opposite for me. I think that those books are only half the story, because everybody's body reacts to different techniques. My body builds explosiveness by going lighter for some reason. I have strong muscles but I get negative results in improving speed and athletic performance when i go heavy or even moderate. I improve with light weight. Anybody know why? Plyometrics type body?
for one if u lift lighter weights..it would not push u down and make u shrink

Connecting the world through light Building photonic networks
im having an idea to build a camera sensor using optic fiber instead of semiconductor sensors ?
im just a kid in this field.. can any one help whether it can be done or not.My idea is the light from lens will fall on the nano optic fibers which would convert the light rays into electronic pulses..then to the image processor.
Sounds like an interesting idea. I know a little about semiconductors, but not a whole lot about nano.
I'm guessing that you are thinking of just mimicking rods and cones in a real eye? I'm really not sure how this would be much different though than how CCD's or image sensors currently work. I also don't understand the need for fibre optic cables. I'm guessing that a flat device with nano-fibre hairs and a lens system maybe not too dissimilar than what is currently out there, other than the device geometry.
