Bonds Fibers
What glue should be used.........?
1. materials are abaca fibers, plastics, metal wires (G.I.), fabrics
2. should be fast-drying and 'invisible'
3. very cost-effective (for rural livelihood projects)
4. readily available in local stores and hardwares
we have tried melted glue sticks yet the results werent as good as the adhesion quality of acrylic liquid bonds, kaya lang mashadong mahal. Any suggestions please..thanks.
If acrylic based adhesive works, there are ways of bringing down the cost. Buy it in bulk from the manufacturer and you reduce cost by as much as 50% vs. retail if you haggle and bring your own container.
Another option is to make you glue from an acrylate resin and a solvent (TCE) presto you have an adhesive. For safety, only experienced person with chemistry knowledge should try making adhesives.
