Bond Tape
Why are some people allowed out on bond?
I read in the local paper that a man who lived a couple blocks from me broke into a woman's home and, holding a screw driver and duct tape, threatened to hold her for ransom and then kill her if they didn't pay up. She told him she had to be at work and he let her go (telling her not to call the cops). Of course she did, and he was arrested four hours later. Then he was let out on a $1000 bond and is awaiting trial.
How in the world can someone be allowed to walk around among the rest of us after having done such a thing? If I was a judge, I'd lock him up and throw away the key.
This was in the state of WI.
