This is not for anything. I really like black hair. I have brown hair but I don't want to change it but I think natural black hair is cool. But which eye color do you think fits black hair the most?
i like lighter eyes with clack hair, it makes the eyes "pop"

I have really blond hair naturally and I am going to be dying it back to black. I am re-inventing my look with a new cut and color. I've had black hair before and I loved it. I want to know what type of dye and home products you use to keep your color looking great and to keep your hair healthy. Any info is great. No one is changing my mind about dying my hair so poop on your shoe for trying.
Sweet Jesus!! 40 volume developer is NOT used to go darker!! 40 volume is used to lift hair...it lifts the most that color can, 3-4 levels. 20 volume is more deposit but will still give you 1 level of lift if you are going a little lighter. For strictly deposit only, which is what you are doing, you can use 10 volume (deposit only) or semi-permanent (usually around 7 volume and also deposit only)
Is your hair naturally blonde, so we're not talking platinum? If it's really blonde it's better to go to a salon because the color can grab unevenly or with the wrong tone. If your hair is a dark blonde/light brown you will probably be ok using a natural black color. I wouldn't try blue black because it might grab a little too blue/purple on your light hair.
Your best bet is to go to a beauty supply, like Sally's, and tell them what you want to achieve. They should be able to point you in the right direction and also give you better tips once they see your hair.
