Babies Hair Growth Patterns
I can hear the crying already...?
...the the bathroom over her hair as a teen.
Does your baby have a weird hair growth pattern? Her hair 1/2 way up the back of her head grows UP. Then it forms together in the middle where it has a cowlick, and everyday mohawk gets higher... *sigh*
She has a bit of a 'tude in the pic...just woke up.

her hair has a swirl right on the back where it goes up into a mohawk from there.
My retarded hubby even put baby oil in her hair one night..and her hair attracted all sorts of dust till I washed it out...

My niece had the same type of do. No matter what they tried (brushing it down while wet, oil, lotion, etc.) it would always stand up like that. She is now 16 months and her hair has been laying down (finally) since she was around 10 - 11 months old. As it got thicker and longer it laid down much better. While it was still sticking up they gave up trying to get it to lay down for a while and they just put a little pony tail or clip near that spot and pulled what hair they could into it.
My daughter doesn't have enough hair to stand up like that, lol. People always think she's a boy, but I guess some babies do look gender-neutral for a while. That's what they made pink clothes for, right 
I can't wait until her hair is a little longer and I can pull it into a pony tail or clip! I tried those baby head band things when she was younger and they would leave an impression on her head so I quit putting them on, just didn't seem like that would feel good! I know I used to always get a headache when I wore a headband.
