How do you remove irony/rust stains out of a carpet?
Some time ago we had our old metal household water tank replaced by a plastic one. The worker left the old tank on the carpet until he could collect it for disposal the next day. But overnight it leaked water, which left a rusty brown mark on the carpet measuring about 2 inches square. Weve never known how to clean this stain out -a car carpet cleaner (an aerosol which produces a foam which is supposed to brush off taking the stains with it) has no effect. Anyone know what to do?
Lemon juice from fresh lemon works well. Cut in 1/2 and rub into stain. From concentrate ( Real Lemon) Let soak a bit and rinse w/ warm water and blot up w/ paper towel working from outer edge in. After this put lots of paper towels w/ a weight on the to draw up excess water. This may have to be repeated if the stain wicks up GL

What kind of propellant do foam fire extinguishers use?
Presumably they don't use butane or propane like in a lot of aerosol cans because they're highly flammable...
Generally it's dry nitrogen or dried compressed air. A CO2 cartridge could also be used.
