The Truth About Your Facial Cleanser Cream
I was enraged after reading about this! Much of the facial cleanser cream on the market should bear a warning label. Laboratory evaluations conducted by the state of California showed that many of them contain Dioxane, a known human carcinogen. Cleaning products that have been prepared using ethylene oxide are the culprits. Interestingly, these contaminants have been found in standard and supposedly "natural" cleansers, as well.
The state of California has sued several companies. They must either correct the problem or include a warning label stating, "Use of this product may increase your risk of cancer." Carcinogens seem to abound in what one would think were harmless products. I'm sure that there is no way to avoid all of them, but if you're like me, you want to protect yourself, whenever you can.
Some ingredients that are standard fare in cosmetics are not believed to be carcinogens, but they are known allergens and skin irritants. It seems like a risky business plan to sell facial cleanser cream that is likely to cause an allergic or other adverse reaction, but the companies have gotten away with it for years. It's not likely to end any time soon.
When you use cleansers that cause redness or burning, then you are actually damaging the underlying fibers responsible for firmness and elasticity. The redness and burning is indicative of underlying inflammation, which, if it becomes chronic, damages collagen fibers. Some people think that the burn is a good thing. Actually, cleansing should be a soothing experience.
Some of the ingredients that soothe and reduce inflammation include manuka honey, natural plant oils and oatmeal. These ingredients can be found in some of the better handcrafted soaps. If you want a little extra cleansing that will also help reduce the signs of age, use a deep cleansing mask on an occasional basis. If you want a little more of an anti-aging effect, use a moisturizer after cleansing. The ingredient to look for is CYNERGY TK.
CYNERY TK can be found in facial cleanser cream masks, daily moisturizers, eye gels and body lotion. The compound is composed of naturally active proteins and minerals that stimulate the production of new cells, fibers and tissues. In clinical studies, the ingredient has been shown to reduce wrinkles, sagging and inflammation, partially because of its antioxidant activity.
Antioxidants scavenge or neutralize free radicals. Free radicals are naturally present in the cells, but exposure to UV rays from the sun and environmental toxins increase their number and their activity. When you are out in the sun or exposed to smoke, it doesn't take long for the antioxidant content of your skin to become depleted.
A natural facial cleanser cream that contains vitamin E can help to supplement the antioxidant content. But, the most beneficial antioxidant skincare product is one that you leave on; in other words, your daily moisturizer.
