Acid Dim

Dark Poem,comments ?
A mouse scampers away
Anita stares down at the table
In dim light
Eyes damp
Tears rolling from her cheeks
she grows weary
Wonders in summation
What happened to her life?
Contemplation
As she stares at the bottle
Of pills
On the shelf
Should I take them?
Or use the switch blade knife ?
In the bathroom
To stop her rain
Outside her window
A crow stares
Down at her from a tower
in the pale light
Rustling leaves are whispering
To themselves
How helpless they feel
if her life
Will disappear this afternoon
In vain
Fourth of July
Maybe down the drain?
Someone tore her paper heart
Broke it in two
Left her in the gutter
With a needle spoon
Now she finds it
So very hard to laugh
No umbrella
From acid rain
All she carries now
Are the scars
Like a trapped starling
In a cage
Her tears have now filled
This room of hers
As she writes her aching story
In a page
as a poem, i definitely like it, wonderful imagery and a wandering, tangential nature. but it keeps to the point
and the point is what i dont like. i dont like sappy crap poems about emo kids (probs with yuppy parents) whinging about wanting to die
apart from that its really really good. very expressive and retains a sense of style that it could have lost due to the *ahem* driving force of the poem
lines 13 and 14, cut them. then it will be a nice piece from an author i hope to see/hear/read more of
if you stay away from the emo crap =]

| | Dim $78.99 By the late 2000s, Gazette have become one of the most well-known Japanese heavy rock bands overseas, and Dim shows why. There are many J-rockers who try to build on the sound of Marilyn Manson and Sevendust, but few pull it off convincingly -- the results, in most cases, are either not heavy enough or too frantic and boring; however, there's no one like Gazette to balance J-rock melodrama and punch-‘em-in-the-gut riffage that is the alpha and omega of Helmet-spawned alternative metal. Simply put, Gazette sound almost like an American band fronted by a Japanese vocalist -- unoriginal, maybe, but they would make a good American band, and anyway, the boys are too intense to care. The group never resorts to simply palm mute chugging their way through -- the riffs are varied, heavy as the soul of Dracula, groovy and constantly melodic: Dim is an ambitious record, but it never wanders off into extreme depths of gothic angst like Dir en Grey sometimes do, sounding instead like Slipknot playing Powerman 5000 covers. The vocals are mostly a deep, weepy baritone that is the stock voice of the Japanese scene, but it's balanced by some rapping and growling, and generally works well, because the rest of the band sweats away building a wall of sound that lends conviction to what could have otherwise been a wimpy emofest, but sounds just emotional. Another credit to Gazette is that they aren't slipping into safe pop/rock after a couple of harder numbers like many J-rockers do: the album stays relentless from start to finish. Dim may be based on American templates, but the leaders of the alt-metal pack ought to watch their backs, because this record confirms Gazette to be tough competition. ~ Alexey Eremenko, Rovi |

Describe the impact of acid rain, global warming and global dimming on the environment?
all rain is naturally acidic. pollution makes it more acidic.
Global warming is a natual processif the earth pollution is making it work faster and the sensationlists try to tell you it will be the death of us, it won't.
The enviroment's big threat is carrying capactiy- the number of individuals of any one spieces an enviroment can support.
